2 year agoThe "Big Roslyn Inn" was destroyed by a suspected propane explosion this evening. There were no injuries and the building was unoccupied. There was a small fire that was extinguished by responding fire units. Investigation ongoing

2 year agoOfficer working off duty at the Tacoma Mall advised they heard shots fired in the parking lot. The officer located a male on the ground outside the north side of the mall. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries

At 5:41 p.m. South Sound 911 received a call from the 800 blk of S Sheridan Ave. saying a male had been shot. Officers located an unresponsive male who was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Detectives and crime scene technicians are in route

Pierce Co Sheriff:A deputy was on a traffic stop at 13400 Canyon Rd E and radioed shots were fired. The deputy is uninjured in the incident. Medical aid was called to the scene, but the suspect has died. The Pierce County Force Investigation Team has been called to investigate
