Business owners in Tacoma near the scene of a shooting in the 5400 block of South Tacoma Way this morning say they aren't shocked or surprised. A 56yo man was found on the sidewalk and is dead, according to TPD.
Homicide Investigation: At 2:49 am officers responded to the 5400 blk of South Tacoma Wy for a male who had been shot. A male was found on the sidewalk & life-saving measures started. The 56-yr-old victim was declared deceased on scene. Detectives & forensics have responded
Homicide Investigation: At 11:17 pm calls came in of shots fired & a car speeding away from E. 35/E. D St. At 11:26 pm, a 24-yr-old victim from this shooting was dropped off at a local hospital by private vehicle & died from his injuries.

At 10:05 pm officers responded to S. 10th/MLK Jr Wy for a male who had deliberately been hit by a car driven by his estranged wife. The 52-yr-old male died from his injures at the hospital. The 41-yr-old female is still outstanding. This is being investigated as a homicide

Police are investigating after a body was found at 4th and Freya. They say it is too early to determine if the person died of natural causes, by accident, homicide or suicide

Thank you to the caller who reported a suspicious car in the 3400 blk of McKinley Ave. The car was stolen & a male was sleeping in the car with a gun in his waistband. The male was arrested with o incident and booked for PSV 1, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1 & 4 felony warrants

Crime scene tape wraps around this entire roundabout just off I-5. You can see a number of King Co Sheriff deputies there in the distance. Squad cars are scattered all over.

Two workers at this Quality Inn in Tacoma were accosted and held at knife point. One worker used a gun and shot the assailant. Both workers are ok and Tacoma police are investigating the incident. The shooting happened just outside the lobby

Yesterday officers responded to multiple dumpster fires that damaged apartments and construction sites in a multi block area. Witnesses provided a description of the male they saw start the fires. Officers located & arrested a 34-yr-old male who was booked for Arson 1 & Arson 2
